Williams, Harris to wed

Sara Williams and Jared Harris, both of Bethany, announce their upcoming marriage 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene.

Parents of the couple are Rev. Jim and Cindi Williams and Mark and Faith Harris.

The bride-to-be graduated from Bethany High School in 2006, currently attends the University of Central Oklahoma and works for Merle Norris, CPA.

The future groom is a 2006 graduate of Bethany High School, currently attends the University of Central Oklahoma and works for Turner & Company.

Sara Williams and Jared Harris will be married Dec. 13.

Arbor Grove students welcome P.E. teacher back from military service

On Monday, Nov. 3, Arbor Grove Elementary School welcomed back P.E. teacher Cory Redinger with a special assembly. Redinger, also known as “Mr. Red” to the students, has spent the last year with the National Guard 45th Infantry, Bravo Company providing security for a detention center in Iraq. The assembly included patriotic songs, letters and poems read by students and “Amazing Grace” played by fifth-grade students on their recorders. Some of the teachers roasted Mr. Redinger with “special things” he will need now that he is back. His wife, Bobby, and daughter, Lany, were also in attendance.

Mr. Redinger has been a member of the National Guard since 1999 and has achieved the rank of specialist. He was also deployed previously as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom from November 2002 until July 2003. During that time, he was in Kuwait and Iraq.
