Richard E. “Rick” Young

Richard E. “Rick” Young was born July 12, 1945, and passed away Aug. 2, 2008.

My precious husband, Dad and Pepa has gone home to Jesus after two years of fighting hard to stay with us.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; son Jerry and his wife, Suzanne; daughter Tina; nine grandchildren, one great-grandson; sister-in-law Diane Slack and her husband, Eddie; four brothers, two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

He had many friends and all who knew him loved him. He had a way of making people laugh and was his happiest when helping others. I know I speak for all who have lost a loved one, “We know he is with Jesus and those that have gone before him, but there will forever be a hole in my heart and world until I can be with him again.”

My thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Deaconess Hospital and the CCU unit that cared for him the last five weeks. They were all great and I will be forever grateful.

A memorial service was held at NewChurch, Oklahoma City, on Aug. 9, with Pastor Monty Priest officiating.
