About The Tribune

The Tribune started out as Bethany's local newspaper in 1923. Ownership has changed hands a few times, but The Tribune's focus on local residents and its role as a community leader and advocate has remained the same through the years.

The Tribune is currently published by former Journalism teacher and Putnam City school board member Gloria Quaid, who took over the paper in 1999. Gloria and her husband, Tom Quaid, have been involved in many publishing ventures in the past 20 years, including the Northwest Metro Times, the Westside News Leader, and several textbooks currently found in many of Oklahoma's classrooms.
